A couple of years ago, I was out of work and the urge to go to the zoo struck me, so I took my mother and we went. I noticed the Fennic Fox exhibit, which was very tiny. One of these little guys came to the front of the cage (which my memory pictures as looking a little like a raised chicken coop with a desert environment built in), and he looked at us like "won't you play with me?" I was sort of saddened by his seeming loneliness, although I understand the Chaffee Zoological Park does have more than one in there.
They are cute, but I wonder how well they take to being pets. They are wild animals, and foxes are known for independence.
Actually I don't really believe in making semi-wild animals into pets: But since I know people who do and people who are into foxes I thought I'd share!
