I loved this seaside walking dress the moment I laid eyes on it:

So imagine my amusement when I caught sight of it (reproduced in PAPER of all things) at the 'Pulp Fashion' exhibition of Isabelle de Borchgrave exhibit going on currently and the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, Legion of Honor.

*highly amused*

I discovered papercraft a few years ago. I've been mindboggled by the stuff people will make out of paper, and the level of detail they will sometimes go to. Of course, most is just a model, but I have seen a couple of full-sized humanoid models, too.

I have seen some crazy paper art before, but never as 'costume' (although there was a really cool dress I saw awhile back that an artist had made completly out of colored panels from childrens books).
