It's a Late Start...

...but I am finally getting into the Christmas Spirit a bit. Still no plans to decorate this year, but I bagged up about a million pounds of cookies, candies and home-made sweetness (thanks to a Sunday cooking spree with tristinmorgan  and saoirse42!). Tonight is ending with homemade turkey pot pie and some gift wrapping - and my favorite - LOTS OF RAIN! 

I admit it, I love damp weather...

In fact, I have actually moved away from places where the weather is sun-shiny bright all year long because I can't stand missing out on real winter weather conditions. Not that I want to live where there are blizzards - *eeep*!

So: goodnight, goodnight, to one and all. May visions of sugarplums dance in your heads... ...and may they all be in hot pink stiletto heels!

I also am avoiding the decorating thing this year. So far, the only decorations in the house are what we've brought home from preschool (most of which are hung in the kid's room), the wrapped presents lined up on the piano keyboard (can you tell how often we play?), and just today we hung the boy's stocking, because mom only finished stitching it last month so it was already in the house. Tomorrow I should really dig out OUR stockings, too...

I have a lovely set of ornaments and garland that I used to put out every year, including a big wreath on the front door! I have to admit, I have missed digging them out for the past couple of years, but I haven't had Christmas at the house in ages...

Then again, if I ever get my hands on this tree (http://oaktreeent.com/web_photos/deco/4_Foot_Aluminum_Pom-Pom_Christmas_Tree_collage.jpg) I solemnly swear I will decorate every year! *grin*

It's still on the 'potential schools' list - however, C has yet to decide on a school (that decision is supposed to be coming by the end of this next semester to ensure that his GE and transfer requirements are in line!).
