Jacqui Carey who is the goddess of all things braided showed us in a class how to do staff and crown in Kumihimo where as it would be a 2 person Finger Loop process. She is working on other patterns as well. The spiral cording in Kumihimo looks a lot like some of the Fingerloop I've seen too. Know this is an older post of yours but wanted to check in. We will need to talk some time about cording and share notes.
