Where Do We Go From Here...

Just got done reading dravon's entry here.

While I wish I could say that I have a deep seated belief that we will all rise above the current milieu and restart our country on a fresh course of democracy and civil liberty, I have a sneaking suspicion that we will follow the ‘historical course’ of such events and devolve into an Empire: One with far less personal freedom and political determinism that we currently enjoy.

Thoes countries in the first three columns were a part of the EU as of 1.1.07, the numbers are the length of their shared boarder with Germany. Have I mentioned that, despite my background in history, geography is not my strong suite?
