I leave for one weekend and suddenly my LJ feed is OVERRUN with Comic Con 2012 and CoCo 2012 event information...

*jaw drops at the number of messages to go through*

Um. Guys. If I missed anything important in the past 48 hours you'd tell me....right?

Now to go and dig out from under a mountain of fandom related posts to find *actual* costume information and details about - you know - real people I actually know.

This whole post brought to you by the letter "W": As in, "WTF have I done to my LJ! Where did all these fandom feeds come from!?!"

PS: On the other hand, lots of eyecandy shots from Comic Con... so... *shrug*

My Friends of Friends list was almost completely take up with posts to the Supernatural communities with Comic-Con update. And I blame you! *points finger of shame* (JK, I shouldn't judge... It could be worse. It could be Tumblr...)

In other news, my sympathies. I'm thanking the merciful gods that my two fandom communities seem to have minimal presence at Comic-Con this year.

No...no...trust me; I get that I am totally to blame here. But most of my coms only post a couple of times a week. However, it appears they all dosed up on CRACK sometime on Friday night and haven't even *begun* to come down off the Winchesters High yet...

*chortle*

It's moments like this that Comic Con really helps me out. I feel like a complete fan squirrel and then BAM! Reality strikes and I realize I haven't even begun to scrabble at the tip of the fandom iceberg... *grin*

I totally feel for you. I'm way behind on reading my fanfic communities. And now on top of random fanfic, they're both busy posting ComicCon stuff what with the teasers and the trailers and celebrity sightings and snapshots. And Person of Interest just started filming again, so the number of posts to that comm has had an uptick even before CC opened this week.

But yeah, watching other people write about what they're doing sometimes makes me feel a little bit less like the crazy fangirl I worry I'm turning into.

I have about a dozen coms that I skim for fic on a daily basis; but I have to admit I have been depending heavily on A03 for ease of filtering of late.

PS: This is the part where I pretend like I don't have a Tumblr account and that I haven't been avoiding it like the plague in a vague attempt to ward of "SPOILERS Darling!"....

I don't have a Tumblr account. But that doesn't mean I don't have *cough* several *cough* Tumblrs bookmarked for easy retrieval. *laughs*

Only my Facebook had any SDCC stuff, but I'm not on Twitter or Tumbler, and I haven't looked at Google+ in months...
