Now THAT Is Punk As Fuck...

Look at these young ruffians; who the hell let them get armed and organized?

*shakes head in disbelief*

The Early Days of das Schwarz Faehnlein; Blackpoint Faire, Navato, CA

Left to Right: Conn MacLir, Tony Swatton, Tom Moon, Chris Cook, David Forrest, Martin Young, Scott Moore, Jeff Schroeter,Carl Ontis, Don Smith

I believe this was from the Old Camp, out in front of the gates to the Faire itself.

A merrier, swankier and more vicious group of scalliwags and crooks, harlots and bastards was never seen to walk the earth. I have the very great honor of knowing many of them.

;)

Old Camp #2 Circa 1986. This was the original entrance gate to faire, but at the time of this photo, front gate was about 75 yards further down so we were well behind the actual gate. Pigfarkers were before the entrance, but pigs cot had not been built.

Oh and all I know about that building coming down is that on the last tear down at that camp, as I was far, far away and never saw what happened, I heard a distant rumble and a hearty "Noch Wieter!".

If I recall (before my time), old camp #1 was Carl and crew hanging out in front of the gate.

Camp #3 was the one further up the serpentine and was the last St Michael's camp.

So, yeah, this is why I don't tease new folks about clothes. But this also gives proof that my Ledergollar is older that all'y'all

*chuckle*

When we’re out at events these days and people start talking about how they’ve been doing faire since-dirt-was-rocks I love pointing to our tent (your old tent) and saying, “I am pretty sure that canvas has been around longer than you have son,”

*grin*

PS: Thank you for the info on the camp two location and demolition; By the time I came along the German’s were in the Serpentine. As Paco pointed out before, with the fiftieth anniversary of RPF coming around it is nice to be getting some of this information down in paper. *thumbs up*
